Up for auctions is this fabulous vintage 1950s 2 row purple and gold graduating bead necklace which is just amazing.  As you can see from the photos, the necklace is in excellent condition and is made p of large purple glass beads flecked with a textured gold effect on them, interspersed in between are a mixture of purple crystal glass beads, textured lucite gold beads and goldtone glass faux pearl beads.  The necklace is very well made and looks stunning on, comes with a lovely goldtone filigree clasp, don't miss out on this one ladies Photos do not do this necklace justice!

Emmons Jewelers Inc was started by Charles H. Stuart in 1949 in honour of his wife Caroline (Emmons) Stuart, Charles Stuart also developed the line Sarah Coventry (he started this company in honour of his daughter Sarah Coventry.   The prices of Emmons  pieces were higher than Sarah Coventry pieces.  The company was located in  New York City and did business until 1981.  The first mark that was used was Emmons.  Then sometime after 1955, Emmons with a copyright mark was used. EmJ, Emmolite, Ce and a Emmons hang tag.   Emmons designs were very well made, good looking and more expensive than Sarah Coventry designs.  Emmons jewellery is highly collectible and can be difficult to find.

VINTAGE  steel cored, Silver clad, "DORCAS" thimble made by Charles Horner of Halifax. This beautiful thimble was made between 1905 - 1948. It is in excellent condition. No needle holes, dents or distortions, with the bottom rim still in the round. It has a very generous plain bottom band that carries the following marks. C.H. 8. DORCAS. The remainder of the thimble is covered in a Daisy Head pattern. This was designed by Charles Horner, which he called, "PRINCESS MAY". This was first registered 1863, under the registration  No. 210800. This professional thimble has a flat head shape. It measures 22. mm. tall, with a base diameter of 15. mm.
