We are pleased to offer this very classy vintage 1950s glass faux pearl bead necklace by Vendome with a lovely silvertone diamante clasp. The necklace has a great weight to it and is very good quality. The necklace is in excellent condition for its age and is looks great on - would like stunning with a little black dress - very Audrey Hepburn! Stamped Vendome on clasp. Vendome was established as a subsidiary of Coro to manufacture a superior line of jewelry. The mark was used as early as 1944 on charm bracelets and faux pearl jewelry, but the Vendome line which began in the 1950's did not become popular until the early 1960's, largely due to beautiful designs introduced by Helen Marion, Vendome's principal designer. Basically, Vendome replaced Corocraft, which, up to that time, marked the higher quality jewelry made by Coro. Vendome jewelry used the best of imported rhinestones and faceted crystal beads. The clarity and brilliance of the stones and top quality metalwork combined in artistically expressive designs were the main factors behind Vendome's success. Mark" Vendome". The jewelry is highly collectible and should continue to rise in prices.

Lovely vintage 1950s white glass & gold bead necklace which is just stunning. The long oval beads in centre have a goldtone metal section in between the beads which really makes the necklace stand out. Fabulous vintage 1950s 2 row ab crystal glass graduated bead necklace with a silvertone flower shaped ab diamante clasp. This is a stunning necklace which is excellent condition.   Great sparkle and shine to the crystal beads, fab clasp, looks stunning on.  The beads are quite unusual insofar as the beads are not the usual round shaped ones as you can see from the photos, the beads are in great shape - they really emit the light with loads of rainbow colours reflecting from them - this is a stunner!

The necklace is stamped S.A.L. (c) on reverse of clasp - SAL is a top supplier of rhinestones and crystals to the American costume jewelry manufacturers, Swarovski also established their own line and American subsidiary Swarovski America, Ltd. The "S.A.L". mark was used on their jewellery until 1989 when the company switched to a new swan logo and changed their name to Swarovski Consumer Goods, Ltd. when the company's jewellery and gift shop businesses were merged. The necklace is in excellent condition,slight peeling to two of the pearls right next to the clasp so nothing to cry about, this is a really well made good quality vintage necklace, good weight to this one and looks very classy on.

We are pleased to offer this stunning vintage 1950s 2 row glass hand knotted glass faux pearl bead necklace with stunning silvertone front clasp set with sparkling clear diamantes and a large green diamante stone in the centre.  The choker looks fabulous on and has a real timeless elegance to it - it is in very good condition, slight discolouration on 3 of the pearls which is not at all noticeable as they are at the back as the choker is meant to be worn with the diamante clasp showing at the front.  This really is a quality vintage piece.  The clasp measures 1 1/4"  x 1".

Fastens with bolt ring fastening, extender chain for extra length, has lovely goldtone ornate ends and the choker has 2 goldtone station bars to hold the three rows together - this is a very good quality, vintage necklace, great weight to it, looks like the real thing...
